His most loyal client and collaborator is his wife, designer Batsheva Hay, whose Elizabeth Street store is the destination for his latest act: the Alexei Hay Jewelry collection.

Alexei’s modern designs are made with VS1F+ conflict free lab grown diamonds in 18K carat gold or platinum settings. Each piece is designed by Alexei and handcrafted by artisans in New York City. It’s not uncommon to find Alexei traversing the streets of New York City’s diamond district while whistling his favorite tune.

In a Cindy Sherman-like twist, you will often see Batsheva modelling her own dress creations in a plethora of wigs and disguises, with Alexei back behind the camera.
