We were delighted to see menswear journalist Eric Twardzik’s glowing feature on Beggars Run for a recent issue of acclaimed luxury publication, the Robb Report.
‘If the suit is to be saved it may be at the hands of Beggars Run, a London-based tailoring operation with an eye for unorthodox fabrics that opens its first New York showroom on November 30.’
How could anyone not be pleased with an opener like that? Twardzik draws a sharp portrait of the brand and captures our fresh, approachable and ultimately softer take on traditional English tailoring.
Perhaps it’s being Irishmen in the UK, that accounts for our outsider perspective on tailoring. (Truth be told, we were outsiders in Ireland, too!) Whatever the reason, our made-to-measure suits appeal to a broad audience while still being distinctive. Guys who like the idea of a suit but hate the idea of stuffy, formalwear seem to respond particularly well to Beggars Run. It turns out a suit can actually fit your body, can make you feel confident, can look incredibly cool and can simply be downright flattering. Who knew?
