Welcome to Elizabeth Street: Wilson Tang

Owner Chinatown Hospitality Group (Nom Wah Test Kitchen at 10 Kenmare Street)

Wilson Tang is a man of many passions. He is known for collecting fast cars (Ferraris), for running long distances (as a founder of the “Old Man Running Club”), and growing his family business (Nom Wah) from a single storefront in New York’s Chinatown into a global restaurant brand with the Chinatown Hospitality Group.

The Tang name has long been known as THE dim sum purveyors of New York City. The original Nom Wah Tea Parlour has been around for over 100 years. When Tang took the leadership reins at the family business in 2010, he opened new restaurants around the globe, including a location right off Elizabeth Street in NoLita.

When he is not growing his new food group, with the recently pop-up turned permanent outpost Cha Cha Tang and Brooklyn’s Sal Tang, he travels the world on food adventures with his kids.
