Postcard perfect snowscapes are a lie.  Sure the City looks amazing coated in the white stuff.  Fluffy clumps floating down over quiet streets surely create a romantic tableaux.  But take it from anyone who has to trudge through mucky piles of it to get to work.  Snow's picturesque charm melts faster than Frosty on holiday in Orlando.

'Wrap up', they say as soon as the mercury drops.  What they mean is 'don some hideous puffer' that makes everyone look like a cartoon, alien Sumo wrestler.  Perhaps the least flattering garment out there.  We'd rather stay indoors.
